Can-t possibly see autonomous being more revolutionary than other systems like the internal combustion engine.
I think the landmine discussion earlier is important. An unguided rocket system and a "kill humans on two feet that aren't out guys" really aren't that different.
This changes with terminators and self replicating systems. But not a single proposed system can arm itself and probably have a hardwire so they can't launch themselves.
It's hard to see an autonomous system having a worse bystander rate than, say, fighting in Gaza. Or Russian missile strikes on Kyiv.
