Digital cameras are not well-suited for depth perception, and they are susceptible to weather conditions. Radar and LiDAR are not subject to these limitations. No amount of AI can compensate for the poor data from digital cameras. Self-driving vehicles require more sensors, which provide more data, to achieve Level 2 or higher autonomous driving capabilities.
