Of course it's people problem. But it has another conponent: sodium is not PROVEN to be unhealthy, it is only ASSOCIATED. Saying it causes anything is like saying that eating ice cream causes sunburn because those two are associated. And there is actually some evidence that neither salt nor sodium are actually harmful (at least for people with healthy kidneys).
But of course, claiming there is causal relationship gets the clicks, so people misinterpreted it that way. He was not only confused by the AI but also scammed by other people into strongly believing that salt is harmful in the first place.
