if you close the hands half way and then the other half, they’ll be touching.
but if starting distance is malleable and resets to 100% at each sequential stages it’s logically now a limits problem.
so it’s y-.5y-.5y=0, vs. y1-.5y1=y2 then y2-.5y2=y3 etc. both are possible, but u can’t contextually set up the first instance and apply the logic of the second
