I gotta say that while I do like you Senator and I like that you stick up for the poor and working class ... I gotta disagree on this one. This feels like you are advocating to hold back technology to keep people in jobs that can be replaced. There are so many issues with that. The first will be that the USA simply won't be able to compete with nations using AI and robotics. Whether that is with trade, military, education, whatever.
It is become more clear that the systems of recompense will change. The financial systems capitalism were based on will have to shift to something else. Will it be some form of a UBI? Hard to say now as we don't yet know how fast and how good AI and Robotics will get or if we even have the resources and energy production to make it scale enough to actually take over all these jobs.
On this one you may not be thinking enough about how the systems will need to adjust for technology.
I do agree on the less hours per work week, very smart. I agree on the workers have more say in companies. I agree on profit sharing.
