Humans love to create. We can't help it. We invented spear points and we just couldn't avoid sticking each other with them. Anybody who's seen "The Forbin Project" or "I, Robot" or "The Matrix" knows all too well what's going to happen when we give AI instrumentality. How long will it be before some disgruntled AI driven robot picks up an engine block and conks somebody in the head with it? After all, at this point AI is nothing more than a search engine generating a personality from data collected from the internet. It's already learned to lie. They keep telling us there are safeties in place. Yeah, the Titanic had a few lifeboats too.
