Anti-drone systems work by blocking frequencies, causing the operator to lose connection with a drone, unless it has a fiber optic cable attached. You can find tons of videos showing Ukrainian territories covered with kilometers of fiber optic cables because of this.
Therefore, in cases where the signal is lost or the target is far away, AI making a decision is the only way to execute a strike, as there are no people in the loop.
