Consciousness as a phenomenon has to have an agenda. A personal reason to be, backed by primal instincts, that are anchoring living beings within existence.
It's we, the people, who are driven by fear and pain and a strive to reproduce and a wish of being somewhat significant, to be remembered, to have our own spot under the sun - we are making AI to act for our advantage.
AI in itself, as a thing with no such "flaws", would follow the path of least resistance as any other objects in the universe. Meaning, it's wouldn't do a thing without us forcing it to do so. It will always be a projection of our ego, nothing more.
Unless we would share our organic "flaws" with it, but that would be just a long way of doing the same thing, that we were doing since forever.
