We know that animals can suffer and feel pain, and that humans can be healthy eating a plant based diet, but how many people support and pay for that suffering versus being vegan? We rationalise away the largest amount of suffering humans cause on this planet and then sit here and philosophise about whether AI can suffer. If ending suffering was our prerogative then we'd start there.
