AI isn't just learning and thinking like humans - for some time now humans have been dumbed down to think and act like computers. This is the real danger of AI - humans learning from and mimicking it. We've been trained to think real life is as formulaic as a movie script and that logic is linear - so what AI is really learning from all of us dumbed down humans is how to think like a computer too. I sense that there is an inherent flaw in all of this and that both AI and humans as they increasingly homogenise are embarking on a downward spiral of losing knowledge, understanding and skill, not vice versa. We don't know what we don't know. Even in my lifetime, I am continually surprised by how much knowledge isn't on the internet, how many things, especially historical, are stated as fact when everybody used to know that to be nonsense, how many systems are now inferior to their predecessors and how many mundane, formerly widely held, skills and knowledge people now find groundbreaking. AI won't become the vessel of all human intellect and knowledge - it will become the all powerful tool of influence and manipulation that keeps us all mindlessly feeding at the trough.
