Anthropic's CEO is former Baidu, yet doesn't make their services available in China and has become very hawkis.. but even if he didn't, China actually bans Anthropic / Claude. This is very unusual in China because usually the government would turn a blind eye to people getting access to things like ChatGPT via VPN. This suggests Anthropic could be deemed a national security threat and they know something we don't.
