I have heard a lot of ai experts saying they are not worried about the economic part of the problem. That there's going to be enough for everyone, but if history teach us something is that the amount of resources is not relevant if the people with said resources don't want to share them. I'm sorry but it's hard for me to think that a bunch of very wealthy people or my own government will sustain my economic necessities. In the world we live in, if you don't provide you don't matter. Why is everyone ignoring that they can let us rot and be fine with that. I am genuinely curious and scared.
