i've had an online course about AI, because it's mandatory in my country for universities to provide such education and it was a very low quality course tbh, but there was some important stuff like my uni's policy on AI. anyway there were many things that made me straight up wheeze like for example a professor (who is probably one of the authors of that course) talking about prompting and made up a scenario to summarize an article because it's FOR A MASTER'S THESIS when the first short prompt gave her a very not specific answer, then the second was much more specific and gave a more specific answer. then the professor was like "yeah thats still not specific enough, but now i feel encouraged to read that article on my own". GIRL anyway my point is that in this course when explaining generative AI, specifically generating images, it explained it like this: "AI is like an ARTIST who is inspired by the images that are in its database to create something new". when i've read it i didnt scream "BULLSHIT" only because i was on a train when doing that part. i know it was a just metaphor and probably not that deep but calling AI an artist angers me as hell
