Why is this impressive? I am making a deep learning model for diagnosing alzheimer's and parkinsons with 99.8% accuracy between Cognitively normal and having the disease or not. It just uses 5 MRI datasets, a standard VGG-16 CNN and a slightly tweaked linear layer. It's really not that hard if you can follow a few articles on the net, and it could easily be deployed as a verification tool for doctors. But this has been possible for years... so why it's going viral i have no idea.
