You replace your workforce with robots and AI and save money on employing staff..... everyone else does this, then you wonder why there are no customers for your products and the reason is nobody has a job so they're not earning money to buy your stuff. The government then fix this by taxing company profits more in order to pay benefits and you're back where you started, paying more tax instead of wages.
