Tbf AI will be significantly better at coding work in a year’s time than what it is now (based on current trends), and then become significantly better than that in another year… etc.
It’s not that AI inherently cannot handle software work, and more so that these companies were a little too eager to cut costs, and gave AI too much responsibility/workload too quickly.
