Most people in the comment didnt understand it at all. What u said was perfectly right and we saw it 1st hand happening in US during covid. Gov gave everybody a check to sustain themselves. They spent it on things and the money printed ultimately went to the very top.
Capitalism relies on consumerism. After shrinking wages, they kept this model afoal by credit and with automation as the final nail in the coffin, they put UBI as a bandaid to keep this system afoalt.
I agree that instead of UBI, the best thing we can do is to tax the shares of corporations out of a few hands and give it to people, so that the entire assets of the economy i.e corporation r owned by everyone roughly universally. Thats true equality and that the only way to keep this system running without external money injection.
