the conversation is ABSOLUTELY not complete without the environmental aspects. the processing plants are absolutely horrible for their surroundings, and the people who live near them are very tangibly and negatively affected by it (especially air and water quality). I refuse to have any conversation about whether AI is good or useful or artistic or anything of the sort because it is quantitatively hurting people. I don’t care about technological advancements, I care about people.
