I just watched another terrific video today that was a pilot debrief for a fatal airliner crash. The pilot chose to override the instruments and set a rapid vertical descent, mistakenly believing they were too high on the glide slope. Hearing the words "a chance we could still pull out of the nosedive" was exactly what the pilot thought just before the callout sounded "Too Low, Terrain".
I hope we make the right decision and decide to follow the safety model that aviation has set. It is that safety model that makes air travel the safest form of transportation.
Narrow AI (tools) may be the most reasonable answer to minimize negative disruption.
