I actually do think using Ai is like asking a robot to lift weights. The goal of the assignments is to teach students how to write, and if all they do is type a prompt, they aren’t accomplishing that goal. Yeah they accomplish their personal “goal” of finishing the essay, but that’s not the goal the assignment was created for. Steroids accomplish the original goal, getting muscular. Ai assignments don’t accomplish the original goal, they help lazy students avoid it.
