Thought experiment. Imagine that the handful of hyper billionaires that control this technology and the incredible robots that will follow could stop tens of millions of people from starving to death every year. They don’t. Turn those millions into billions and you have the most likely outcome. We die en mass. They wait it out. A depopulated planet turned garden of Eden for the 5 million or so ultra rich and their offspring. AI and robots work and build and serve them at their leisure. The rest is us are gone.
