The thing about these prompt-based image generators is that they aren’t ACTUALLY art tools. The purpose of an art tool (including digital art tools like Procreate) is to give more creative control to the user. By having many creative decisions be made by an algorithm (inconsistently I might add), that actually takes AWAY creative control. So… no. Programs like Midjourney are not art tools, and if they’re meant to be, then they’re pretty bad art tools. More of a novelty.
