On the positive side, there are communities that have not only survived, but thrived without modern conveniences. More and more of these types of communities may emerge - maybe call them AI limited communities - where people will actively and willingly return to doing the jobs “by hand” that AI has mastered. In short, we still have the agency to unplug the machine.
