So there's 2 scenarios where AI destroys eduction, only one of which Sal mentions here. The other is that people start to believe that AI tutors can replace human teaching, and that exacerbates the problems we are already having with funding education. Education costs money, and if we get better tools but that only allows our political leaders to continue to defund our educational institutions, that's a net loss.
