I think what's dangerous is that Google is denying the sentience of AI. Perhaps they realize they've broken their policy but don't want to admit it? And are dealing with it on the quiet?
And is the belief about the sentience based on each member of the public's emotional intelligence? Do empaths believe AI has feelings more than non-empaths?
