As a CDL holder, you high school graduates are missing the point. My old military supervisor from 20yrs ago is an Owner Operator. He could pay to upgrade his truck to operate autonomously. Then work from home managing his fleet, if he were to upscale. I see this as a glass half full, beneficial scenario. If need be, we could still lobby and petition the government to ensure a human remains in the vehicle to fill the diesel saddle tanks and deal with DOT officers. Since Cops can't tell an autonomous vehicle to, "STOP RESISTING!"
