That's an.. interesting take on artists, I can't help but wonder if that commenter is like me. I recognize that creating art is a skill honed over extensive amounts of time of practice and refining and while yes some people are born with a natural leaning towards art that only goes so far without guidance. I admit, I use AI Generators from time to time to see an image of the quality I would like but I never claim those images to be my art because I didn't create them, and if I could instead afford to pay all of the artists I like to produce the art I want, I would gladly do so in a heartbeat. That isn't to say that I've never picked up a pencil and tried to draw on paper or whatever, on the contrary I've been sketching and doodling ever since I was a child back in the '80s. However try as I might, despite years of practice and desire to improve, the art I produce ranges from objectively bad in quality to mediocre at best, with maybe two exceptions. At best two exceptions despite decades of effort, I am objectively bad at art and too poor to properly support the artists I admire. That is why I use ai generators, for a chance to see something from my head done to a quality that'd be considered at least nice.
