ol boy in red seems a bit delusional. excellent hackers/criminals/etc could manipulate AI agents so easily no one would know or be able to trace anything and it would appear as any other crime made by a real person. the difference is now a single criminal can deploy an army... we DO hear about frauds and scams increasing exponentially all the time!
He also mentions the systems theorist as being the optimist with AI being superintelligent. But the fact is it probably already exists and neural networks are neural networks regardless of whether they are artificial or not. Just like dude says, those networks will keep growing, they will keep being trained, and eventually they will learn how to advance themselves even further.
1:00:37 his argument here also is ridiculous and he is not listening to ANYTHING the much more intelligent systems theorist is saying. He uses example of sh*tty food... and how over time AFTER everyone was sick and fat, it "self corrected."
***The entire argument is how FAST and at what SCALE all of this happens.*** It doesn't matter if it self-corrects if in the process the entire world is fugged.
