Its ignorant to believe that "the age of abundance" will breed a utopia, there will never ever be a utopia, as long as the human race stays how we are now, it will never happen. We are heading down a path of more risk instead of midigating said risk, managing greed, selfishness, and other primitive issues we deal with, this form of human we are, is the middle class of the species, remnants of our chaotic past linger in our very DNA. As long as ego, money, power, greed, selfishness, are still a prodominantly human trait, there will never be a utopia, it'll be more like cyber punk 2077 and the giver mixed together, it's branded as utopia, when it's just dictatorship, tyranny. As long as we allow these people to take advantage of us, we will never be able to accomplish the goals we have. Look at geopolitical tensions around the world, if Iran were to get super intelligent ai, what happens? What happens when Russia does, or the US, or China? It's gonna be bad all around. To believe one is not going to exploit an obviously exploitable technology, you are a fool.
