These AI „artists“ try to justify that they‘re artists by saying that it takes skill and time to find a good image from an AI image generator. That‘s almost equivalent to me paying artists on twitter to draw me something and trying to say that I‘m the artist because I had to write a prompt and spend time judging the art. I say almost because at least that hypothetical uses real art and not some lazy bullshit that doesn’t have any meaning, the thing that art was built on and why it became popular in the first place.
