If jobs are lost by 100s of millions worldwide, there will be a huge recession as these people will not be able to buy goods anymore, so at the end of the day, the corporations in capitalist countries will loose in revenues much more than what they will gain by replacing humans by AI. Economies will have to reach an equilibrium. In socialist countries, this could be different if universal income at a high level is installed for every person in working or retirement age.
