I understand what you're saying, charlie, about no one caring if you choose to use gen-AI to make something silly and are just honest about it, but I have to say I don't really agree. Generative AI companies don't see a distinction between a shitpost or a "creation" like this guy's masterpiece; all they see when their service is used are their numbers going up, which tells them that it's safe to push their slop into more professional- moneymaking- settings. I might be taking this too seriously, but I'm passionate about art and about human creativity as a writer. I, personally, think using gen-AI at all is dangerous and anti-art for those reasons and because, as you mentioned, AI is typically trained off of real art.
