If you're creating a new dashboard with a wealth of stacked data, here's my perspective: most companies are built on continuous maintenance rather than fresh development. The issue I see is that so much of this work will be executed through automated workflows. You can integrate your IDE environments to take the build outputs and embed them within these workflows. Over time, you’ll be able to develop increasingly sophisticated, parameter-free workflows that correct erroneous outputs automatically. In my opinion, this trend will reduce the demand for many programmers, potentially leading to significant attrition in that field.
This shift could fundamentally change how companies approach software development and maintenance. It might be interesting to explore how roles evolve as automation takes over more routine tasks, and what skills will remain invaluable in a world reliant on automated workflows and intelligent systems.
