I responded to someone who was saying how they were being put down by real artists for calling themselves an AI artist. I said, AI art generation is like playing a video game that makes art for you. Sure there is creativity involved, but you’re just pressing buttons. Someone could be a pro skater in a Tony Hawk game but that doesn’t mean they have any ability to ride a skateboard.
I only hope a big enough corporation that’s in support of artists has the financial means to start a lawsuit against these companies profiting off the use of copyrighted material. I look forward to all these AI artists reactions when suddenly their “art” is limited to only public domain work.
