I do think there is an argument for accessibility in that not everyone has the time to build their skills for hours and hours to visually make their dreams come to (virtual) paper. that is where I do think the 'gatekeeping' argument makes some sense -- it's easy to say 'well i'm not gatekeeping, just pick up a pencil and do whatever art!' but if someone can only draw stick figures right now .. lol.. I think ai gives people access to see whatever bizarre things in their imagination come to life. I think that then trying to market that as 'art i made' is where the problem comes in.
