Honestly, automation should be a blessing. But since nearly every society determines a person's worth by their occupation and how much money they're able to throw around, we wre afraid lf machines taking our jobs. Afraid of them doing exactly what they were built for.
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to opt out of work for a time to gather more specialised education or switch fields? Or for people.doing physically demanding labour to be able to quit at 50, so they can grow old without 4 herbiated discs at an age where other people just start to really feel they're getting older?
