I think the problem is that most people lack a basic understanding of what it is that LLM chatbots are actually doing. Chatbots don’t understand the words that you feed them, or the output that they spit out. They are transforming words into numbers, then crunching the numbers and predicting what the most likely “correct” output is based on their vast amounts of training data. They don’t understand anything, they just do a good job of making it look like they do.
