Ai art is not a theft and that is the problem, first cause unfortunatly we can't just put "theft" everywhere and second cause if everyone keeps putting this false flaw everywhere the true ones don't get enough attention, and more than that, it give a perfect reason for the people in charge to completly ignore them by simply calling us "dumb". So please don't. The cognitiv bias that leads to think that it is theft is the shortcut "they make money by using image without consent" the problem is that we also do, you can even say "more image equal more quality so it's directly correlated" also same, we can't draw without any référence, we can't improve without accumulating data, and by we i mean really anything, the same way we can't die without living, it's a need. But this isn't even the point, the fact is that you don't make an ai by assembling a giant folder of references, even when you put more data the ai needs to be modify to handle it and improve, so the money is not for the reference used but for the work of those who makes the ai, unfortunatly it is money for work. So please now talk not also but only about the true issues, for exemple the regulation that still is needed for many real problems that will negatively impact people and the world, keep discussing about what art really is, the beauty of effort, don't give them the possibility of shut down all of this, please. The best way to be wrong for the shortest amount of time is to change your mind, and the advantage of truth is robustness.
