The reality is that AI will replace a lot of jobs, quickly or slowly, and universal basic income cannot sustain an economy forever. There's a future crisis of over-production that might be similar to the great depression looming on the horizon, and most likely nobody is going to be prepared for it, and without any new "boon" to the economy as AI just automates everything it will lead to an ever more dire situation until collapse is imminent.
