I've been a freelance illustrator for 8 years now and I've lost multiple commissions because clients essentially 'threatened' me with AI in an attempt to get me to lower my prices...
It's tough not to loose your resolve and love for your creative industry when this kind of treatment of real artists is becoming more and more common. I encourage all my fellow creatives, especially those working professionally, to seek out community and really indulge in the few clients who afford you the freedom to genuinely express yourself. The clients who push for AI are not worth the inevitable theft of your time and joy.
