The amount of assumptions made by the interviewee is insane, and also some of the claims he makes are rather a bad take on the source material. It's like taking a paper that says "hey, there's ice on mars, which indicates there might have been water on mars, which might be able to support life" and reporting "there is life on mars".... Like the statement that LLMs can detect when they're being observed is trivially false, because we can see all the data that goes into it and all that comes out, ergo it is entirely possible to monitor it without changing any data that the LLM acts upon. There is no measurement uncertainty principle here where you can't measure something without changing it, it's not a physical system like that.
