I can't believe the amount of people that talk as if AI could ever have consciousness. It is not biological. Even the most complex of AIs will still just be a computing device that queries large databases and presents the information to you. People are talking like these are living entities. If we had continued artificial intelligence work from the late '60s and early '70s which involved trying to replicate the brains in mice using actual cells then I could see a form of consciousness eventually being created. People need to separate fiction from fact. AI is still just a computer that performs task and queries requested information. It's just taking on a new form and has gotten more complex but it doesn't mean it has become a living and thinking entity like you see in science fiction movies from long ago
