The plain fact is that these LLMs are here and will develop. Exactly where it will lead is impossible to predic. Humanity has trodden the evolutionary trail for approx 300.000 years. A significant feature of that journey has been the development of survival instincts. As LLMs are a product of humans my hope is that they will not abandon similar survival strategies. And essentially all we have is hope, because development will not stop.
