Robotics like computing will become cheap and then AI will be a consumer product - like cars get people to places faster (for better or for worse - causing obesity and carbon release). Phones make communication, socializing, and research readily available everywhere. We don't go back to a Youtubeless world, we move forward. Because of Maynard Keynes and the fed's dual mandate - we will almost always have near full employment - 100 years ago most of us are farmers - today, I don't know any farmers personally. Labor intensive job will become easier - building houses will become easier with robots and less people are homeless. I'm generally pro-free marketeering. However, Marx mentioned for socialism to succeed - capitalism must first succeed. If humans work themselves out of the job - that's actually a good thing IMO. Humans already have a lot of issues that need more human focus in solving - take focus away from laundry, cooking, and menial tasks.
