Once more, it comes down to '"tools can be good if you use them right". I can't believe they wouldn't even check the output of what the AI gave them 🤦
On the flip side, ChatGPT can be invaluable for non-lawyers.
I recently seeked advice from lawyers on a labor issue and they wouldn't take the case or advise me. So I used ChatGPT for research, to help me gather relevant info and understand my chances. It pointed me to the right resources which I was then able to confirm on the relevant state and federal websites.
I used that info and a letter crafted with the help of AI to write to my company and ask for what I was owed, and they finally agreed and settled.
