I hate the over use of the term "AI". I hate the fact that governments are slowly pressuring private companies to implement mandatory ID checks (eg. Discord) (even though I do see the potential net good for protecting children by making it harder for nonces to nonce)...I hate the fact that my government is talking about making VPNs illegal...I hate it all - but all these problems feel like some grand, nebulous entity that is impossible to fight and stop...and so I find myself, sadly, becoming more and more willing to just lie back and accept the changes that are going to happen; my only solace and reason for not being too bothered is the argument that I am not an evil-doer and so have nothing to hide - even though I know that is really just me capitulating.
