In order to respond to the question, “Will AI become conscious one day?”, we first need to understand the meaning of consciousness. Once that is properly understood, the idea of AI becoming conscious will naturally be addressed. From my perspective, consciousness is not merely a result of brain activity. If you grasp this, you will then understand why machines will not end up becoming conscious.
