There is SO MUCH that goes into a basic LLM running on an USB for even remedial work.
The media/market/investors hyped this so much that people think it'll do the work for 90% of world, it won't.
Humanity is unreliable & rarely benevolent to propagate any technology globally for the benefit of all.
To take your jobs, means also making the system built by capitalist become redundant, cause majority of humans can't be used as labour, robots don't earn but also don't spend.
The system needs consumers to sustain, the consumers need money to buy products.
So, they will knowingly slow down progress, instead risk losing mass of consumers.
