my main defense of ai is how would you like it if the brush artists banded together and banned your wacom tablet, or the carriage drivers banned the car, any new technology or technique will always have the established rending shirts to stop anything new, and if that succeeds then eventually the whole thing stagnates, siloes itself behind unions and exclusionary practices, and ends in a slow decline, rather than people learning new tricks, or their skill actually becoming MORE valuable especially in the upper crust where they can afford to spend 100k on a "traditional" painting they then use to money launder 100mil on
