I kind of think you guys are leaving out the reflection of human biases and perspective hardwired into what AI is using as reference points. So though AI doesn’t have the brain to use as a template for empathy and sympathy, it does draw on the fact that it’s reflecting human nature back at humans as a different kind of empathy and sympathy.
